The last couple of weeks we've had the opportunity to chat with our family members back in the states on quite a regular basis. Unfortunately, it has been a result of unpleasant circumstances. The Moss family has been reaching out to Tyler (Aaron's brother) and his family as they had their moving van stolen en route to their new home. Our hearts just broke when we heard the news as this sweet family has already had a challenging summer. This ended up being quite the icing on the cake. While we all know everything will be fine for them in the end, the process of putting their home back together will be no small task. How we wish we could all sweep into town and do a major Extreme Home Makeover - Moss Edition for them!
As for the Comstocks, our hearts are breaking for quite another reason. My family is all in Michigan this summer, enjoying my parent's lake house that is just down the street from my aunt's home where my grandmother is cared for. Last week my grandma had a stroke. I think we all envisioned how she would pass and none of the events of the last week are part of anyone's ideal departure for her.
